Help us build a roof on one of our African schools!
GII currently supports five schools across africa. But it all started with our first school near Jos, Nigeria in Plateau State. The school's founder purchased land in a new community hoping to eventually build a home for his retirement. However, he quickly discovered that the community had 1500 children and no school. So he hired a teacher and converted his first, small building into a one-room school house.
Today, the school has 170 students in four buildings that form a square complex around a central dirt courtyard. One of the buildings has a second floor meant for science classes. However, the buiding is lacking a roof and the second floor sits empty and unused.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 by December 31, 2019 to build the roof to this building and finish the staircases and the classrooms on the second floor. This fund would also allow us to add drainage and tranform the courtyard into a grass playing field for the students.
Please join with us in providing a better environment for these students and teachers. The goal of all of our schools is for them to be self-sustaining on an on-going basis, but for the buildings and land to come from donations. Join us in this great work of making a difference. Where there is no education, there is no change.
All gifts are tax-deductible and 100% of donations received go directly to improving the school. There are no administrative fees. The only deduction is the credit card processing fees if a credit card or debit card is used.
