We need your help to achieve our New Year’s Resolutions! This campaign is to raise at least $5,000 to support spring programming at the Village Learning Place (VLP), a learning-centered gathering place for a diverse community.
Our New Year's Resolutions: ·
* Enroll 80 kids in 375 hours of after-school learning and enrichment.
* Serve 7,000 patrons with our library collection of 20,000+ books.
* Engage 15 older adults in stimulating conversation at monthly Senior Tea.
* Plant 24 varieties of herbs and vegetables in our community garden.
* Showcase Baltimore’s fascinating and diverse history to 250 neighbors.
* Provide free books and story time to 500 pre-k students.
Your end-of-year support of the Village Learning Place will help us keep these resolutions! It costs $78 to serve one child in after-school for one week (that’s $1500 a semester). $200 runs the library for one day. Please donate and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors, from the 3-year-olds to the 93-year-olds.
With continued cuts to government funding, we rely more and more on the empathy and generosity of our friends. Let’s make sure the Village Learning Place can keep providing a safe, nurturing and enriching environment for our students, neighbors and community.
