There’s A Ghost Army On The Streets Of Georgia.
They are the forgotten; our country’s lost veterans. Their deepest wounds are often invisible, yet very real. Many suffer from addictions, have no place to sleep, or worse - have lost all hope in themselves and their future.
The need is real and immediate: shelter, support, and above all, a chance.
At Veterans Empowerment Organization, we know that America’s heroes deserve nothing less than that chance. We start by helping veterans get off the city streets, providing them housing as a first step in rebuilding their lives. Our unique program then gives assistance with addiction recovery, work skills training and job placement resources - opening the doors to new opportunities and a future to look forward to.
Does it work? Let those who have been through the program share their stories. All we ask is that you listen as they share how V.E.O. helped them regain their identity, sobriety, and self respect.
They’ve already served to protect us, now let’s fight for them.
Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO) was founded in 2008 to address the paucity of services available to homeless veterans in Georgia. VEO's mission is to enhance the quality of life for all veterans on their road to self-sufficiency. Since its founding VEO has served more than 4,500 homeless veterans. veohero.org
