Our third annual Read-A-Thon is Wednesday, September 23rd through Wednesday, October 14th.
Why should I sponsor a Gator? We need to raise $85,000 each school year to fund initiatives like distance learning support, technology improvements, music programs and instruments, library updates, resources for social and emotional health, and so much more. Without your generous donations we will not be able to continue those programs year after year.
Please consider a tax-deductible donation to help us reach our goal.
What is a Read-a-Thon? Our students ask friends, family, and neighbors to pledge their support for amount of time spent reading, or a one-time donation. Our students then spend two weeks reading as much as they can! At the end of the two weeks we tally up the reading logs and donation sheets. There will be two winners: one for most time spent reading and one for most funds raised. The two winning classes receive prizes, and the entire school benefits from funds raised.
How do I get started? Click on the 'READ-A-THON FORM" button and download the form. No need to print - you can edit this form online to keep track of your student's reading.
Beginning on Wednesday, September 23rd students can start tracking how many pages they read each day. The final day to track pages is Wednesday, October 14th.
What books do we read? Whatever you want! Use books you already have, check something out of the library online, or pick-up a few new reads at the online Scholastic Book Fair this fall.
How do I sponsor a student? Pick a student and pledge a per-page amount, or make a one-time donation. One-time donations may be submitted at any time. All donations are due by Friday, October 23rd.
Payments can be made in cash, checks, or online via this website (preferred).
How do I turn in the form? Please email the completed forms to email@example.com by Friday, October 23rd.
Checks should be made payable to: GG PTA and handed in or mailed to the school office: Attn PTA Readathon, 1 Corritone Ct, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Please note the name of the student you are sponsoring and their teacher so we can easily match up the funds.
