In the run-up to the Covered Bridges Half Marathon on June 2nd, I'm partnering with Positive Tracks, a national nonprofit based in Hanover, NH and Boston, MA that helps young people Sweat for Good. What that means is they support young people and their desire to create change using the power of sport. Through them, kids are playing kickball to prevent climate change, running for racial justice, and shooting hoops to end hunger.
I find Positive Track's mission highly compelling because sports, and running in particular, have long given me goals to chase, friends to make, and places of peace. Being able to lace up a pair of shoes and go for a run is something nobody can take away from you, and the fact that Positive Tracks is empowering so many young people to take control of their lives and shape their communities for the better inspires me.
If you want to help, please considered donating to Positive Tracks through this page. A little bit goes a long way for this sort of thing. No amount is too small (if you want to donate less than the 10 dollar minimum on the portal, don't hesistate to contact me directly at email@example.com).
Thank you so much for your help.
