These are unbelievable times that have put all of us to the test, but they have also given us the opportunity to appreciate what is truly important in our lives. For me, sailing is a vitally important source of joy. I started sailing as a kid, but after I became disabled in college, I grew to appreciate the sport in ways that I would have never imagined. Beyond the thrill of being on the water and enjoying the beauty of the Chesapeake, sailing has also been a source of many life-long friends. For the past 17 years, I have sailed with CRAB and also served on its board of directors. It is a great organization that changes lives for the better and has introduced sailing to thousands of people, who would have otherwise not had the opportunity.
