Georgia Works! was founded nearly 7 years ago with the hope of helping men that were homeless and returning from jail or prison regain their dignity, and become hardworking self-sufficient tax payers. They can't do it alone. Believing that every life has value and can be restored given the right mentorship and environment we work with men for a 6-12 month period and through intensive case management, counseling and therapy, lots of classes and works help them overcome the bad habits and barriers that have kept them from becoming productive citizens.
In our 7 years of existance we have helped over 800 men regain their dignity and a productive and healthy lifestyle. Many have been restored to the lives of their children and families. They all leave with a full-time job with an average staring wage of $12.50/hr and an apartment to live in.
Studies done by Georgia Tech's business show that for every dollar invested in Georgia Works! brings a return to our community of $6-$11 in reduced recidivism costs and healthcare. Would you please help us continue this meaningful and much needed work in our community?
