We want you to know we are working harder than ever to provide the best services for our program participants. How? Our teachers and therapists work remotely offering each individual over 40 interactive sessions a week. The goal is to ensure that none of our participants and families feel alone and go without the structure they desperately need.
May has always been a month of fun. The weather gets nicer, simchas are in full bloom and best of all … it’s the time for KULANU'S Annual Community Fair. Due to COVID-19, our simcha gatherings either have been cancelled or gone virtual. Unfortunately, there is no way to have a virtual Fair.
KULANU still needs your help. As one of our biggest fundraisers, the Community Fair raises a net of $100,000 to support our programs. Therefore, we are asking you to join us for “Generosity Days in May”. Understanding the impact this pandemic has had on our families and our community, we are looking to raise only a fraction of that amount.
Now is the time! Due to the Cares Act Charitable Giving Incentive, individuals and corporations can deduct much greater amounts of their contributions. Individuals, partners of partnerships and shareholders of S Corporation can elect to deduct donations up to 100% of their 2020 AGI as described by the internal revenue code (up from 60% previously). Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income, up from the previous limit of 10%. Contributions must be made by Cash, Check, Debit Card, Credit card or ACH/Direct.
Please join us starting on Sunday May 17th for Generosity Days in May – the date that was once our Community Fair, where last year over 5,000 people attended, we are looking to bring our community together and do what we do best….be there for each other and give.
