After nearly 20 years of non-profit work helping people take care of their own health through taking care of the Earth, Great Plains Restoration Council is finally ready to finish the journey.
The purpose of this campaign is to create a model and metaphor for Ecological Health restoration where there has been destruction and loss. And America's Great Plains can provide a heartland of health and vitality again. With your help, we will gift the following to the country and the world:
-Out on the shortgrass prairie of southeastern Colorado, about 200 miles from Amarillo, TX, we will create a stunningly beautiful new refuge for buffalo, prairie dogs, pronghorn antelope and more. 50% of funds raised, after expenses will go directly toward helping our partner Southern Plains Land Trust buy land to create this new national Safe place on the plains for wildlife and people.
-Gift our program Restoration Not Incarceration to others across the country. Give them jobs, hope and purpose.
-Provide $100,000 in work scholarship funds for long-suffering Plains Indian people working in ecological restoration.
-Help us complete the Fort Worth Prairie Park - an urban wildland prairie on the backdoor of 7 million people as a national epicenter for the Ecological Health movement. Support the continuing public education and advocacy work of our non-profit, Great Plains Restoration Council.
-Support GPRC's literary fund.
