Thank you for taking the time to read this.
As many of you may know, my brother, Lee, served in the military for over 12 years and did 3 tours including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. While he was very lucky to make it home without serious injuries, we know many of his fellow servicemen and servicewomen who were not so lucky, and literally lost life or limb to help give us the freedoms we all enjoy today. And there are so many more with invisible wounds who still need help. Regardless of your political standing, I think we can all agree that we need to support those who risk their lives to defend our country.
With this in mind, I have been running the Run To Home Base in support of my brother and other veterans for 6 years now and will be doing so again this July 27th. Myself, my brother, and 3 other family members have had the same "team" taking part since 2012, and we would appreciate any help you could give us in supporting this event.
Our team would love to have anyone who is interested to come join us in running this charitable race. If that is you, just get back to me and let me know. If you simply prefer to donate to the cause, you can do so here.
No pressure to donate, and even the smallest of amounts is appreciated.
This is a great 9K (5.6 mile) charity event that helps the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital program, which is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for Service Members, Post-9/11 Veterans and their Families through clinical care, wellness, education and research.
Thank you again for your time.
