Once upon a time, there lived a small grey car that started in a small town in Louisiana and dreamed of big adventure. His name is Gandalf the Grey. He was a new, grey Hyundai Elantra that was bestowed upon me and was my very first brand new car. I named him Gandalf the Grey because, he would take me on many adventures. He has been so loyal and reliable through all the miles Ive put on him over the past 4 years. He moved me from Indiana to Louisiana BACK to Indiana again. He became part of a trio when my husband and I got married and then has transported our beautiful son on his first car trip home as well as his first road trip across a few states to visit long distance family.
He is almost paid off with being about $6500 left on the car loan, however he also needs new tires for the icy winters up in Indiana as well as a new windshield. On one of our road adventures, a rock came up and nicked his windshield and it has grown pretty big but has finally starting to become an issue in visibility.
I'm asking for an extra $1500 to pay for 4 new all season tires and to replace his windshield.
Tires should cost around $350 plus labor and installation fees and the windshield isnt covered by my insurance, so it will cost around $330.
It would make our lives so much easier and we wouldn't struggle every month if we were able to pay off this loan, finally. We'd be able to save up money for our little growing family and be able to upgrade Gandalf the Grey to posibbly Gandalf the White! Any help at all would be most appreciated! Thank you for listening to our tale and are excited to share many more adventures with our curious Gandalf.
