Donations from this event benefit the widows and orphans of the fallen brothers and sisters of the Baltimore City Fire Department Local 734.
Money to support this fund is raised annually during our tailgate events; however, this year, we are unable to have these events due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Our Widows and Orphans Fund was created over 50 years ago to provide immediate financial relief to families when one of our members passes away. Over time, we have increased our programs to provide such things as life, sick, accident and other benefits to our members, their dependents, or their designated beneficiaries; all within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (9) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.
We are asking for your support in order to be able to continue to assist our widows offset annual medical costs. We are excited to announce that our friends at D'Amore Personal Injury Law have stepped up and will be matching your donations up to $500 each week! Paul D'Amore and his team are ongoing supporters of the Gameday Firehouse tailgates and the Widows and Orphans Fund. They love the energy of this event, the local fans, and getting revved up for the big game with all of you, so please help us to keep the momentum and supporting the families of our fallen heroes. We are calling on you to get revved up, donate and keep the momentum going each week--on the field and in the tip jar!
