Gabriel had the biggest, most purest heart anyone can ever imagine. He was a true blessing to all of those who have ever had the opportunity to meet him during his physical time on our earth.
Gabe, as we all called him, was a wonderful Husband and dad to both his children (Aliyah 7, Anthony 14). He was our protector, provider.... our lion. He went above and beyond for his family and we miss him everyday.
After his battle with Covid-19 on July of 2020, Gabe was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma August of 2020. Prior to any diagnosis, Gabe was a fully functional, independent and hard working individual. Contracting the virus, brought to surface the silent disease of Cholangiocarcinoma. The prognosis was never promising from the very start but we were determined to beat this. Gabe was a fighter and even after learning of this terrible disease he was determined to fight harder and stronger. We all fought with him. We were all determined to carry him to the finish line because losing was never an option.
Sadly, on September 25, 2020 Gabriel was called home. I held his hand day and night, everyday since we've met. I held his hand tighter that day. I knew Gabriel wasn't ready to leave us, despite his reunion with loved ones in heaven. Gabe was a thriving 40 year old that was full of life. He loved nothing more than his family. He was an amazing role model to his siblings and his children. He was an amazing leader at work. He offered the best advice to anyone who needed it. He was never afraid to be himself. He lived for all the people he loved.
Gabriel will always be alive in our memories. Everyday we speak his name. His love will forever be imprinted in our hearts. We love you to infinity and beyond Gabe, you are truly missed. Forever in our hearts. #findthecure
