Donate to help Syrian refugees!
Wesleyan Refugee Project is raising money to send relief supplies to Syrian refugeees.
The donations raised will help send a whole shiping container of relief supplies — like food, clothing, and medical supplies. The container will make a big impact to help Syrian people.
Welseyan Refugee Project is teaming up with a non-profit called Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees (https://www.multifaithalliance.org/) and their Fund A Container program. They have already sent more than $120 million in aid to Syria. They will gather and ship the relief supplies to deliver to people in Syria and to refugee camps on the border.
The crisis in Syria.
Now in its eighth terrible year, the Syrian crisis has left more than 400,000 dead. There are 5.6 million Syrian refugees registered in other countries; and 6.1 million internally displaced people. An estimated 13.5 million are in need of humanitarian assistance. The equivalent would be denying food, medicine, and shelter to the entire populations of New York and Los Angeles – and leaving them to fend for themselves amidst the chaos of war.
Our response.
Wesleyan Refugee Project believes that one of the best ways to support refugees is by fundraising with organizations that have strong connections to local NGOs in conflict areas that directly send aid to those in need.
That's why we decided to ship a container of life-saving humanitarian aid to Syria through the Fund A Container program.
