It is no secret that February is all about hearts- but not just the candy kind. Monday February 1st, 2021 kicks off the 56th consecutive American Heart Month- a time the nation turns its attention to the importance of keeping families and communities free from heart disease, the No. 1 killer of Americans.
The federally designated event reinforces the importance of heart health and the need for more research, with a reminder to get families, friends and communities involved. It’s a tradition that’s over half a century strong- and I challenge YOU as a Fulton Employee to get involved too!
The first Friday of each February, American Heart Month, the nation comes together, igniting a wave of red from coast to coast. From landmarks to news anchors, neighborhoods to online communities; this annual groundswell unites millions of people for a common goal: the eradication of heart disease and stroke.
