The COVID19 pandemic disproportionately affects women.
With no employment to pay their rent and limited childcare options, many single mother college students are unable stay in school and are abandoning their chance to build a better future.

The Story of Freedom for Resilient Women
Lisa Sledge, founder of Freedom for Resilient Women(FRW), was divorced in 2015 and began law school in 2016.
She had two small children and she was terrified.
Lisa and her children called themselves, "The Law School Team" and their motto was "We are the family that does hard things and never gives up."
The truth is, no matter how hard she tried, the support of her community made the difference between failure and success.
Professors became mentors, friends donated clothing for her children, her church provided food, and her family shared financial resources whenever possible. As a result of their generosity, Lisa graduated from law school in 2019 and is now able to provide for her family.
Sadly, many single mother students don't have a support network.
When the coronavirus pandemic struck in early 2020, many single mother students lost childcare, employment, and access to the internet as the nation shut down and schools transitioned to online learning from home.
With the help of a few brilliant friends, Lisa created Freedom for Resilient Women, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to provide a lifeline to courageous single mothers who are fighting for their education and for their family's future.
Help Freedom for Resilient Women raise $1,000,000 to provide COVID19 relief to single mother students struggling to pay for rent, internet, utilities, and childcare.
TOGETHER, we can #KeepMomInSchool.
