Friends of Washington Park Continue Efforts to Restore Booker T. Washington Park Clifton Forge VA: In August of 2020, a group of committed citizens, the “Friends of Washington Park” Committee, kicked off a planning and fundraising effort to enhance and restore Booker T. Washington Park, located on the main entrance corridor to Clifton Forge.
Work on the Park moving into Spring is picking up into full swing. Friends of Washington Park are very close to the fund raising goal of $32,000 and need your help in raising the remaining $9100.
Thanks to generous donors we have raised $22,900 of the $32,000 funds needed to complete the project.
The enhancement and restoration of Washington Park will take the community’s commitment, but as Booker T. Washington said, “Nothing ever comes to one that is worth having, except as a result of hard work”. to reach the goal as we move into the final construction phases of Restoring Booker T. Washington Park.
