Ainsley's Angels of America is super excited to work with Kaitlyn and each of YOU to surprise Jacob with his own Phoenix Racing Chair!
Enjoy this note from Kaitlyn to learn the details:
Jacob is a 17 yr old boy with a rare genetic disorder called CDKL5. He is wheelchair bound, non verbal, and endures daily seizures. He relies on the care of his family and nurses around the clock. Because of his condition, it is hard to find accessible things for Jacob to do and enjoy.
A few years ago his family discovered Ainsley’s Angels and Jacob has been racing with the SEPA chapter ever since. He has participated in countless 5K races and even completed his first half marathon! The impossible has been made possible for him. He enjoys feeling included and pulling the Angel Runners across the finish line.
Though Jacob is not able to talk he communicates his love for racing through eye blinks and eyebrow raises. The proud smile he gets when showing off his medals at school is priceless!
Jacob is an inspiration to all who know him. He will be turning 18 in April which is a big deal and calls for celebration! To honor this milestone birthday please consider contributing to the purchase of a racing chariot for Jacob and his fellow riders. (But shhh! It is a surprise for Jacob and his family!)
