We have been fortunate enough to learn about Ainsley’s Angels through our support group for 4p-/Wolf Hirschhorn Symdrome. Cassey Allen, the Austin rep was at the conference and we also got to hear directly from Ainsley’s dad...which was an amazing, uplifting, and loving experience. My sweet girl Calleigh was diagnosed at 3 1/2 months of age. I was completely shocked and a piece of me died that day. I grieved for the first couple of years and I’m not going to lie, I find myself grieving still some days...and she is 12 now.
I’ve been looking for s jogging stroller so that Calleigh can enjoy running with me. I started running in January of 2017 and I’ve always thought about taking Calleigh with me. Cal can walk and she loves to run around, but she cannot (at this time...I never count her out!) run more than a few feet before her tiny body gets so tired. I’ve failed to find s jogger that will accommodate her growing body. We would love to be considered for a grant for a chair. I am so excited to be involved in Ainsley’s Angels and I would love for it to be something Cal and I do together...Our mommy/daughter time.
Thank you for your consideration,
Cassandra
