Welcome friends, family, and all of Framingham!
My name is Erin Condon and I am proud to represent my city in the 2019 Boston Marathon. I look forward to following in the footsteps of my mom, dad, and many other relatives and friends who have completed this 26.2 mile journey. Currently, I am 20 years old and a junior at Boston University. This year, I am the youngest member of Team Framingham, and this is the longest race I have ever attempted, but I’m ready for the challenge.
I have chosen to fundraise for Framingham Adult ESL Plus (MWESL Fund). Here’s their mission:
“The MetroWest ESL Fund raises money for Framingham Adult ESL Plus. FAESL+ offers free ESL, high school equivalency, and Citizenship classes to area residents. We currently have over 800 students from ages 17-79. The students come from many cultures and faiths, all working together towards the same goal- to learn the language and math skills needed to help build their lives in the U.S. Framingham.
The demand for ESL classes is huge: the last time the program had registration for ESL, they had less than 100 available spaces, and more than 800 people showed up hoping to register. The money raised through this campaign will help us take people off of the waiting list, and help them meet their goals. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!”
I am passionate about the MWESL Fund because it highlights and celebrates the diversity of Framingham. The MWSEL Fund provides crucial language skills, degree prep, and work training for members of our community.
Thank you in advance for your support!
