Welcome to the inaugural "FOURce of Nature" campaign! We're celebrating our crew of chromosomally enhanced little ladies and raising funds for DSAM (Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota) at the same time!
DSAM provides information & direct support for the DS community through medical outreach, parent support programs, and information. They partner with Jack's Baskets, Disability Day at the Capitol, iCan Shine Bike camp, and the statewide learning conference. They celebrate World DS Day at Mall of America and host family picnics and holiday parties statewide.
Their mission is to make life better (and more fun!) for families like ours!
Our crazy crew
Charlotte (Charlie) is 11 and in 4th grade. She is a whirlwind of chatter, questions, and non-stop opinions--just like most kids her age. She loves graphic novels, all things relating to planets/space/astronomy, and riding her scooter. She relishes her job as team leader/crew "boss"!
Louisa (Lulu) is 7 and in 1st grade. The anthesis of her big sister in every way, she is our shy, gentle homebody. She loves all things girly--dresses, My Little Pony, Fancy Nancy, and anything pink. She's her mama's right hand helper, and our resident baker, gardener, and kitten whisperer.
Margaret (Maggie) is 5 and in pre-K. Much like her team leader, she relishes the loud and dramatic. She is as loveable, stubborn, and motor averse as the day is long--and is very proud of her life's ambition to impersonate a sloth! If she had her way, she'd spend her days hanging out in her designated spot in the downstairs playroom, binge watching "Llama Llama Red Pajama" and anything Elmo.
Grace (Gracie) is 4 and in preschool. She is her "WooWoo" in miniature in a lot of ways--quiet, snuggly, and decidedly her mama's girl. Her medical needs keep her hospitalized or homebound much of the time, but she still manages to find joy in the every day. She loves her service dog in training Fred, her BFFs Isaac and Amanda, books, trips to see her Trader Joe's friends, sharks, and Signing Time.
Thank you for your support of our family and DSAM! Come celebrate with us!
