These photos are some of cats who have gone to Fort Collins Cat Rescue and found their forever homes. The first and last pics are of Apollo, a rare male calico I rescued in November and sent to FCCR in February. They did a fantastic job of bringing him out of his shell and letting him shine - and then they shined the spotlight on him with a wonderful promotional video. He had his likeness captured by a local artist and used on prints for Volunteer Appreciation Week - as you can see, the result is stunning! My sweet boy is a star!
Of course he isn't "my" boy anymore, except in my heart. I am so happy for Apollo - and for all of the other cats I have sent to FCCRSNC. They are lucky cats!
I first met Fort Collins Cat Rescue in 2014 when they took twelve of my cats through Best Friends Animal Society. The next year they took fifty more cats from me directly! The last transport was in November 2015 and I got to personally deliver fifteen of my babies. I also got to see the place that had come to mean so much to me and meet some of the people who were helping to reshape my life.
A few months ago I needed their help again and once again they stepped up. Since October I have transported 39 teenage and young cats to them. The first transport, I got to see all the changes and expansion that had happened inthe three years since I had last been there. HOLY WOW!!
I have hopes and dreams and plans for my cat rescue future and FCCRSNC is my role model. They are inspirational both in what they have accomplished and in the range of things they do to help cats and the people who love them. If you aren't familiar with them, you should check them out - they are amazing!!
Please help them meet their goal by donating to this fundraiser. Maybe they will even win the Challenge - how awesome would that be?!
