Milo came to the Fort Collins Cat Rescue and Spay/Neuter Clinic from Texas last April, where he (and other cats) were brought from over-crowded shelters. At first, he appeared to be a healthy 10-week old kitten, except he had a head tilt, was deaf, and had some other minor neurological abnormalities. After taking him home (and thoroughly falling in love with him), he quickly became severely ill and required lots of medical attention, multiple vet appointments, and lots of TLC. For a while he was so unbalanced he couldn’t walk well and had a high fever, and we feared the worst. However, after a few weeks of special attention, diagnostic tests, and veterinary care, he eventually pulled through unscathed.
Without FCCRSNC being able to bring him here from Texas, having the resources to take care of cats and kittens and place them in foster homes, being able to provide diagnostics and medical care, I would not have this amazing cat today. He is friendly, confident, loves going on walks/hikes/camping, and adores taking care of foster kittens as a “big brother”.
It is MIlo’s Mission that FCCRSNC has the resources to continue helping cats - especially the sick ones - find their very best lives. Your donation and support helps provide the facilities, staff, and supplies to care for cats of all kinds, and you truly could be saving a cat’s life. Help Milo take care of our fosters (and other cats!) by making a donation today!
