Today, nearly 3 years after Hurricane Maria, more than 30,000 homes still rely on the blue tarps issued by FEMA for basic protection from the elements. Many of these tarps shelter young families and the elderly, leaving them vulnerable to the elements and the threat of future hurricanes.
PRoTechos is a small, grass-roots 501(c)(3) non-profit working to transform Puerto Rico one roof at a time. Their dual-pronged approach focuses on addressing the infrastructure issues plaguing the island, as well as providing apprenticeships to address the shortage of skilled construction workers.
How to Get Involved
We are looking to you for help. For every $5,000 donated to this campaign, PRoTechos will be able to build one new, hurricane-rated roof for a family in need. Help us make a difference this year and transform the lives of those who need it most!
