Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance.
Rizzia is 2 years old and lives with her parents and 2 siblings. She has microcephaly, epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
Her father works in a warehouse. He walks an hour each way to reach his workplace. During quarantine the warehouse has been closed and he has been unable to work. Her parents received a small amount of government assistance which they used to purchase food to make and sell breakfast to their neighbors. Knowing they have a child with disabilities, their neighbors paid for their food and wouldn't accept any change. They earn around US$6 per day.
Even with the generosity of their neighbors, Rizzia's family is struggling to provide her with the extra nutrition and basic supplies she needs to maintain her health. Items such as formula are very expensive.
Rizzia needs formula, nutrition, diapers, wipes, incontinence pads and vitamins.
Can you help us support this family during this difficult time?
