THE STORY: According to UNICEF, thousands of children under the age of five die every day because they lack proper nutrition, safe drinking water, affordable vaccines and other basic necessities that most people in the U.S. take for granted. UNICEF's lifesaving interventions and programs around the world have helped reduce the number of child deaths by more than 50% since 1990, and yet 16,000 children die everyday from preventable causes. There is still a lot of work to do. Support Fordham University's UNICEF Campus Initiative in our efforts to take a stand against global child mortality. Check out just how far your donation can go! $1 can provide a child with access to clean, safe water for 40 days. $5 Can provide children with 13 doses of measles vaccines. $15 Can provide a child with clean, safe water for one year. $50 Can provide 35 malnourished children with lifesaving nutrition for one day. $165 Can provide a bicycle to deliver medicine to children. It's scary how much good you can do!
