Hello! Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! The Gods Child Project in Guatemala is very near and dear to Valerie & Danielles hearts. Danielle volunteered in Guatemala last summer with the project & both Valerie & Danielle are part of a small team who provide monthly support for Dora, a 18 year old who attends the school the project runs. During Danielles time in Guatemala she volunteered , working with children at the school, participated in a food drive for local women to receive food to feed their familes, and was part of a team who built a house for a family of 3! Valerie & Danielle love being able to support Dora so that she can get the education she needs, food on her families table, as well as medical care.
The Gods Child project in Guatemala, also known as Asociación Nuestros Ahijados (ANA) was founded in 1991. The projects headquarters is called "The Dreamer Center", it is a beautiful oasis in the center of Antigua, Guatemala. The Dreamer Center is home to a center for malnourished children (Casa Jackson), a school, & a health clinic. They provide medical, dental, and psychological care, as well as education, disaster relief, crisis-intervention, and community-connection services to thousands of extremely poor people from the surrounding villages and mountainside slums.
We believe it is always a good time to lend a helping hand, however now more than ever with the effects of COVID-19 effecting all of us & especially those in impoverished countries, such as Guatemala, we are asking you to help us raise funds for the boys, girls, and families that the Gods Child Project supports!
