My mom Nancy has battled both brain cancer and breast cancer. Her brain cancer was a Grade III Mixed Glioma. Mixed gliomas are rare, making up 1 percent of brain tumors and about 5 to 10 percent of gliomas. Mom is a fighter and was in remission for almost 10 years. During this time, she had breast cancer and was successfully treated for it. Then scar tisse began to gow in her brain and caused seizures, leaving my formerly atheltic mom almost completely invalid and barely able to communicate. Cancer absolutely sucks but the medical professionals and specialists who treated my mom are miracle workers. The fact that she was in remission all those years after having a rare brain cancer is incredible. I ride both for my amazing mom and all the people who treated her.
