Food Well Alliance
Metro Atlanta’s cities are rapidly becoming more developed and dense, threatening precious green spaces for growing. Without viable gardens and farms, we lose our connection to where our food comes from.
Food Well Alliance equips growers, local governments, and residents with the resources they need to build thriving community gardens and farms across metro Atlanta. Since 2015 we have provided critical funding, tools, and training to more than 150 farms, gardens, and local food organizations. And in 2019, we launched metro Atlanta’s first City Agriculture Plan with our pilot city, the City of East Point. The goal? Bring growers to the table with policy makers to plan together how their city will grow.
How You Can Help
We believe City Agriculture Planning can be a game changer for metro Atlanta’s growers, and we intend to bring it to all 54 cities in our service area. We'll need everyone's help to make it happen. As part of the GIVE Atlanta Challenge, we're asking our supporters to help us raise $54,000 to reach 54 cities.
When people have access to locally grown food, neighborhoods become safer, ecologies improve, and people are healthier. Metro Atlanta growers are working harder than ever to make that a reality for all of us.
Help our local growers and help transform the landscape of our cities.
