The ongoing pandemic has affected everyone globally, especially vulnerable and marginalized communities. In Lebanon, COVID-19 has exacerbated one of the country's worst economic crises and international organizations have warned of increasing and severe hunger and poverty levels.
Friends of Kayany supports schools for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon, and we are asking for your donations for food distribution to students and families.
The costs of a food basket is about $31 USD and includes items such as rice, burghol, lentils, sugar, pasta, foul, soap and cooking oil to help cover daily essential needs.
Throughout our campaign, we will keep you updated with number of food baskets we have raised. Every dollar and share makes a difference, especially in unprecedented times like these.

We would like to give a tremendous thanks to Layth Sidiq, award-winning Iraqi-Jordanian violinist and composer, for his continuous support towards Friends of Kayany's mission.
We would also like to thank Michael Downey (@michaeldowneyphoto), a journalist, photographer and filmmaker, for his footage of Layth Sidiq's visit to the Kayany schools.
