Please help us bring food to Bali families, which have been devastated because of the island's lockdown due to coronavirus.
The usually busy streets and beaches are nearly empty now. More than 50,000 local tourism and hospitality workers have lost their jobs and have no money for food. There are also a lot of workers from Java and other islands who got stranded in Bali because of the travel ban and can barely survive.
We have started assembling grocery kits, which include a bag of rice, noodles, eggs, cooking oil, sugar, tea, a toothpaste and an antibacterial soap. Our volunteers have already distributed 100 kits to people in need. Our goal is at least 1000! A $10 donation will let us buy about one week of groceries and supplies for a family.
Gabriel Al-Salem Foundation has very close ties to Bali. We work with some local organizations and businesses and have held two conferences in this beautiful island. The last one was on February 1 this year, and it's heartbreaking how the island has changed since then.
Some of you have also been to Bali and enjoyed its beauty and hospitality. I know money is tight right now for everyone, but I ask you to please help us and chip in any amount you can to support the Bali people in need.
Thank you! Please share this with your friends. Stay safe and healthy!
