I grew up in food banks. Eating from their cupboards and volunteering in their warehouses. Being a hungry child is such an incredibly difficult way to grow up—but food banks help! Not only did food banks feed me, but volunteering in them also taught me to pay it forward.
COVID and the resulting loss of jobs from the shutdown has created a staggering need in our communities. So many people are coming together to help—from farmers, to organizers, to people like you!

LA Unified School District is now handing out free breakfast, lunch, and dinner to all students and families in need. Since March 13th they have given out over 10 million meals. The LA Regional Food Bank contributed over 1 million of those meals so far.
