In February, it was with much excitement that we opened the inclusive education classroom at Hope of Life in Guatemala. Ryan's Rays’ mission is to enable inclusive education and recreation opportunities for children and youth living with disabilities both here in Canada and around the world. Our mission has not changed, but we recognize the effects of COVID-19 on our partners. With this in mind, we want to meet the urgent basic needs of the families and communities we support in Guatemala.
The effects of global quarantine restrictions on Guatemala's marginalized communities have tripled the risk of starvation in children under 5.
Did you know that $35 (Cdn) will feed a family of five for 10 days and potentially save a child's life in Guatemala? To date, our partners in Guatemala have already provided more than 20,000 bags of food in many at-risk villages.
Ryan's Rays has heard the need and, in partnership with Absolute Results Foundation and Hope of Life International, would like your help in not just feeding one family but as many families as possible.
