Bosh Bosh is a non profit that educates, employs, and empowers women and girls in Liberia, West Africa and Rosarito, Mexico. We provide our direct beneficiaries with vocational training, scholarships, extra-curricular educational programs and employment.
We know this is a difficult and challenging time for everyone, but with your help we hope you can sponsor a Bosh Bosh family so we can provide essential food.
Who are the Bosh Bosh families? They are the families of our scholars, employees and members, which make it 46 families in total. 10 families in Mexico, and 36 families in Liberia.
For the foreseeable future, we will not be able to import our bags from Liberia. Sales of our bags sustain both our families and our program. Without support, we no longer have the ability to keep up with salaries nor can we continue with our after school programs. In addition, the mandated lockdown has prevented family members from traveling to work and food prices have inflated, which creates sincere food insecurity and the potential for famine.
In Liberia, we have shifted to producing face masks for all our Bosh Bosh families in order to keep them safe. In Mexico, we are producing face masks for sale here in the United States and donatation to those in need locally.
But through your donation we will be able to provide the following for our 46 families:
36 Families in Liberia:
$20 provides one 55 pound sac of rice, which is Liberia's staple food
$40 provides a (55 pound) sac of rice, 1 gallon of palm oil, vita (chicken bouillon), salt, hand soap & hand sanitizer
10 families in Mexico:
$20 sponsors one bag of "despensas" food items and cleaning supplies for an entire family. This package will contain the following:
Beans, rice, flour, tomotoe paste, pasta, salt, pepper, canned food items, vegetable oil, lentils, clorox, vinegar, body & hand soap, toilet paper, & tooth paste.
