Focus on Ferals is in the business of saving lives. Please join us in our life-saving mission of compassionately rescuing homeless cats/kittens in our community.
In the least year we took in:
*several pregnant cats
*several sick kittens from a cow farm
*21 very sick kittens, an FIV+ cat and pregnant cat from a condemned home
*a cat diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, that requires daily medication
*several cats living at a Sunoco gas station
*rescued several FIV+ cats
*under-socialized cat named Buddy (see his story below)
*In November 2017 we took in a 6 month old kitten who was a hit and run victim, shattering her pelvis and needed a Bi-lateral Femoral Head Ostectomy (see her story on Facebook)
*and dozens of other cats/kittens requiring assistance
We have set a goal to raise $12,500 so we can save 100 cats. To prep for adoption, each cat requires spay/neuter, FIV/FeLV test, vaccinations, treatment for parasites and microchipping which adds up to an average of $125.00/per cat we rescue. This does not include food, medications or additional medical care. These cats are homeless, frightened, hungry and helpless without YOUR help!
“BUDDY” had been living on the street most of his life prior to his arrival to Focus on Ferals December 7, 2018. He feared humans and didn't want to be touched. He had fleas, worms and a bad case of ear mites which left him with an open wound behind his right ear. He was also not familiar with a litter box. Buddy was vetted and microchipped as soon as reasonably possible. The volunteers began working with Buddy to improve his social skills with people. We documented his progress on our Facebook page and it generated a lot of viewers, cheering him on, which ultimately landed him his FURever home.
