Thank you for considering a donation to my annual FMH Fundraiser for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, a tax-deductible 501c3 organization, America's largest, and the place that absolutely saved my life back in the summer of 2004.
HBFF helps people whose lives have fallen apart put them back together. Over the first 12 FMHs we've raised over $180,000 to help those who can't afford treatment for alcoholism and/or addiction get the help they need. This year, to "earn" your generosity, for the 2nd time I'm going to engage in a golf marathon - endeavoring to play 100 holes on a full length course in one day. For you non-golfers, know this will require playing from sunrise to sunset, and even with doing that I may well not get to 100. I know, not exactly a triathlon, but it's probably still a 60,000 step day - even with a cart. And, I'm horrible at golf.
Anyway, thankyouthankyouthankyou for your generosity.
Don "FMH" Thiry
