Ask any Fargo-Moorhead college or adult rugby player how they like playing rugby, and their answer is usually something like, "I love it. [...] I only wish rugby was an option available in my High School."
Youth rugby is finally coming to the Fargo-Moorhead area this Spring. Students athletes from all nine of the FM area high schools are joining together to make this vision a reality.
In the Spring of 2019, the FM Youth Rugby (FMYR) organization was formed and has hosted several single and multiple day youth rugby clinics gauging community interest and support for the FM's youth teams. The participation and community response to these events has to led the FMYR board to a decision to officially start a U19 boys rugby team to begin practices in March of 2020.
We are excited to share and celebrate the friendship and camaraderie that rugby brings its players, coaches (and families). Your donations will help offset the inaugural season cost for practice equipment, facilities, referees, and jerseys. We'd like very much if you would join us in this big step for youth rugby for our community.
Donors who give $50 or more...
FMYR honors those who give $50 or more as 'Founding Member' donors. As a founding member donor, the name of the donors choosing will be forever included on FMYouthRugby.org's "Founder Wall." Founding members will also receive FM Flood team posters, team crest stickers, a Spring season schedule, and exclusive discounts on future FM Flood apparel.
FM Youth Rugby has the vision to develop youth rugby in the Greater Fargo Moorhead area by promoting the sport and culture of Rugby Football. We want to build and sustain competitive high school rugby in the Greater Fargo Moorhead area.
