Floyd Academy Students are proud to present our first Stroke Awareness Fundraiser. With May being National Stroke Awareness Month, the Floyd Academy is proud to partner with the American Heart Association and the National Stroke Association to take on this challenge.
The students at the Floyd Academy want to spread the word about Stroke Awareness and raise money for an organization that holds a personal connection to our students and faculty members.
Through this program, students are spreading the word about ways to prevent strokes and learn the warning signs to save lives. Please donate to our cause and help to spread awareness about brain health and act F.A.S.T!
FAST is an easy way to remember and identify the most common symptoms of a stroke.
F: FACE: Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
A: ARMS: Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S: SPEECH: Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is their speech slurred or strange?
T: TIME: If you observe any of these signs, call 9-1-1 immediately.
Every minute counts!
Thank you in advance for your donations,
