The Great Lakes contain 20% of the world's surface freshwater and it's at risk -- but the good news is that you can help protect it by supporting FLOW's work.
Who owns the Great Lakes? We all do. And FLOW is the one organization in the Great Lakes Basin that is using innovative public trust solutions -- which stress the public's paramount rights in water protection-- to solve some of the biggest issues facing the Lakes:
- We're fighting to shut down the risky Line 5 pipelines at the Straits of Mackinac that threaten a catastrophic oil spill.
- We're working to block Nestle from extracting even more of the public's water for private profit.
- We're articulating the right of all citizens to have access to safe, clean, affordable drinking water.
Based in the heart of the Lakes at Traverse City, Michigan, FLOW is a lean, effective organization. We put the maximum amount of dollars to work in support of the Great Lakes. The funds raised in this challenge will go directly to our work towards citizen education and empowerment for Great Lakes protection.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to protect the Great Lakes through the Patagonia x MooseJaw Charity Challenge. To learn more about us, visit our website.
