Florida butterflies are in danger. The delicate winged creatures that inspire wonder, pique curiosity and support our natural environment need our protection.
Florida is home to 162 different species of native butterflies, more than any state in the eastern U.S. Sadly, many of these species are imperiled.
In response to this urgent need, the non-profit North American Butterfly Association has created the Florida Butterfly Movement.
The Florida Butterfly Movement is an initiative launched by NABA to acquire, restore and manage land specifically for butterflies such as the federally endangered Bartram's Scrub-Hairstreak. In addition, the Florida Butterfly Movement will educate the public about the important role butterflies play in the environment and engage the public to help save them.
NABA has received a generous grant from the Wildlife Conservation Society Climate Adaptation Fund. Now we need your help. The award requires a 1:1 match.
Give your tax-deductible gift today. Give to help NABA aquire and steward the land, educate the public, and save a critically imperiled ecosystem and the butterflies that depend on it.
The North American Butterfly Association is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that is passionate about butterflies. We work to save butterfly species and the habitats upon which they depend through direct action, conservation, grassroots advocacy and education.
