We still want to be here for you! Like so many other non-profits and businesses we had to close our doors and stay-at-home. We did not stop serving veterans and families. In this time of uncertainty and turmoil the veterans and families need even more help and support and many veterans have reached out to us for the first time.
We have provided art supplies, food and gas cards, emergency assistance, bus passes and more to veterans and we have continued with one of our alternative healing classes. Additionally we have also provided supplies to families as well as veterans even if not covered by our budget. We have had a volunteer team working at gathering things up and delivering them.
Many have been helped and we continue to reach out and provide services not previously offered.
While we have upped our game and offered more services and tried to make this as easy as possible for our veterans and families we have also taken a real hit to our regular monthly donations and sales. Our income in the last half of March dwindled to almost nothing. April has resulted in even less. As a result while we are offering more we are receiving nothing and have exhausted our funds.
Every little bit helps and we want to be able to offer even more services to many who are hurting right now. We want to slowly get the Veterans Art Center open and functioning as soon as we can safely do so. We want to continue to provide art supplies to veterans isolated at home and also to family members.
We need your help to get through this for the next few months. Please help with any amount you feel comfortable.
