All across the globe, pets of unique shapes and sizes suffer abandonment without any home to call their own. Typically, most people assume animals would do fine living in the outside world, thinking that their primal instincts will keep them alive and safe. However, the human race domesticated animals, and pets who experience desertion cannot survive on their own. Furthermore, this can result in the poor creature catching an illness, receiving injuries, or even dying. People need to donate to charities that help sick, injured, and homeless animals so they can procure health benefits and adopted into loving and caring environments.
To solve the big problem of homeless animals in the world, societies need to donate to charities that aid in getting closer to the solution. Due to lack of assistance, the U.S. alone have about “70 million stray animals” and for every “homeless person” there abide about “five homeless animals” (Kristina Pepelko). Imagined the amount of strays worldwide; this even out weighs society’s homeless people situation. How can people expect kindness and respect from others if they themselves let animals suffer like this.
2nd Chances Animal Rescue of Richmond Inc rescues sick, injured, and homeless animals and rehabilitate them as well as getting them adopted. One of the volunteers testified that the shelter “goes above and beyond” expectations when it comes to caring for and finding the animals a forever home (markie00). Supported by donations around the community, this organization functions to the best of its abilities to provide for the rescued strays. The organization used the money for vet bills and to spay/neuter the animals they rescued. Therefore, people within different communities should donate to 2nd Chances Animal Rescue of Richmond Inc and or another charity that works in the same field.
