I'm honored to fight for Dress for Success Triangle, an incredibly inspiring, powerful, women-changing-the-world centered organization.
What I love the most about Dress for Success Triangle is that they acknowledge the realities and barriers that many un- and under-employed women face as they (re)enter the workforce. Their unique programming takes a multi-level approach to empowering the women they serve to achieve economic independence and "thrive, in work and in life."
Not many workforce development programs combine so many different elements into their approach as the Triangle affiliate of Dress for Success: job seeking skill-building, role-playing workplace interpersonal interactions, career coaching, networking, and not least of all -- a wardrobe to help her interview and start her new job.
And I'm lucky that they're doing this excellent work in my backyard (Triangle area, North Carolina).
Here's a video about their incredible mission from the voices of the women they serve.
