Not entirely sure if boxing is what I should be doing at this point in my life, yet here I am. I started about 18 months ago just as a way to stay in shape and cross train. (also entirely possible that watching Cinderella Man about 60 times had some influence on that decison as well). Fortunately, my newfound love of boxing and long standing desire to support charities associated with caring for children have found a home together in Founder Fights 5 right here in Boulder. I have chosen to fight for Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) right here in Boulder.
Please support me in this USA Boxing sanctioned event by donating to this GoFundMe campaign with all money going to SPAN. For more information on SPAN, go to https://www.safehousealliance.org/.
For those of you who are local, Founder Fights Night 5 is May 15th at Boulder Theater. Tickets will be available soon. https://www.facebook.com/events/170382477717062/

SPAN is a human rights organization committed to ending violence against adults, youth and children through support, advocacy, education and community organizing. SPAN began providing services in 1979 and is crucial to the network of support that offers critical “safety net” services to vulnerable, low-income and at-risk populations. It is the only organization serving Boulder, western Broomfield, smaller towns and unincorporated Boulder County designed to provide shelter and advocacy for victims of interpersonal violence.
