Hello, my name is Joshua Sefanov and I am a 17-year-old from San Francisco, California. As many know Covid-19 has been tearing through the United States along with the rest of the world. Every day we tune into the news to see thousands and thousands of innocent people dying. Even though in the moment it seems like there is no end and there isn't much we can do, in reality, there is. In countries such as the United States, Greece, Italy, Yemen, and many more, first responders are fighting day and night to help as many people as they can. My own father works at a Stanford Hospital in California and comes home every day exhausted and beat down from grueling 16-hour shifts. It is people such as my father who are working tirelessly around the clock fighting to save who they can. I understand that in this uncertain time money can be tight, but any donation no matter the size helps tremendously. All the money that I am able to raise will be directly given to the International Rescue Committee. This committee takes all the money it receives and gives it to countries heavily affected by Covid-19. Innocent people are suffering and you can do something to about it. Any donation no matter the size is crucial in the fight against Covid-19. I hope you can find it in your heart to donate to this pressing and important cause.
