For as long as I can remember, I always knew that something was "wrong" with me. I had unexplained symptoms starting in my childhood and continuing into adulthood. My main symptoms have always been pain and extreme fatigue. For years and years, no one could give me a diagnosis. It's very disheartening being told you will just have to deal with your symptoms because we can't find anything wrong with you. It took about 20 different doctors and a lot of persistance, but at 25 I finally got a diagnosis. I was told I had Lupus, along with Hashimoto's and Sjogren's. When you get a diagnosis like that, it's easy to think that your life is over as you know it; but trust me, it's not. It gets better. You just have to keep fighting.
