Fight for your health.
Fight for the health of your community.
Fight against cancer.
Fight For Five!
I am taking the Fight For Five Challenge! This five-day fight is a commitment to be a leader in my community by living and leading by example. I am fighting for my health by exercising and eating healthy (that's five plus fruit and veggies!) and fundraising to support the fight against cancer for, for five days in a row!
I will be a health leader in my community, modeling a healthy lifestyle and cancer prevention. I will also be paying it forward by raising funds and providing life-saving research and joining the American Cancer Society's mission to, "Save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer."
Every day, the American Cancer Society is saving more lives from cancer than ever before. They're helping people take steps to reduce their risk of cancer or find it early when it's easier to treat. They provide free information and services when and where people need it. They fund groundbreaking cancer research and they're working to ensure access to care for people who need it.
Join me in my Fight For Five by kindly donating today!
About Fight For 5:
This campaign started as a collaboration between the American Cancer Society, Sensei Miguel (@mas_mma) and Day One to promote healthy living through martial arts and nutrition, in the fight against cancer with the students of El Monte High School.
Day One is a public health non-profit organization that focuses on youth engagement, environmental policies and health initiatives in underrepresented communities. Their Mission is to build vibrant, healthy cities by advancing public health, empowering youth, and igniting change. Our target population is youth, parents and community members in the San Gabriel Valley.
The organization has over 30 years of experience in organizing, engaging, and empowering underserved communities. They work collaboratively with neighborhoods to identify barriers to healthy living in their communities. Day One has been actively working to advance the health and wellness of students in Pasadena, Pomona and El Monte.
