If you know me well, you'll know that I am passionate about sharing and growing the game of lacrosse. "The Medicine Game" has brought me joy and opportunity since I was introduced to the game at the young age of 6. I was fortunate to grow up in a family and community that supported my development on and off the field and for that I am so grateful! I continued to play through high school and college at The University of Colorado, Boulder. As a coach at the youth and high school level, I've had the opportunity to share the game with hundreds of players over the years and I look forward to inspiring hundreds more young athletes to find beauty and joy in the game.
When offered the opportunity to participate in Founders Fights, I knew right away that I wanted to fight for a cause that provides lacrosse opportunity and enrichment for kids that ordinarily would not know the game.
Denver City Lax creates opportunities for youth in underserved neighborhoods by providing access to lacrosse and then engaging participants in year-round lacrosse training, academic guidance, and enrichment experiences. Lacrosse provides a new pathway for kids in untraditional lacrosse neighborhoods to engage in a team platform to teach key life skills such as leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, perseverance, healthy living, and goal setting.
As I embark on this Founders Fights journey, I pledge to challenge myself beyond all perceived limits and fight for a cause that resonates deeply in my heart. The intensity of training I plan to pursue is proportionate to the love I have for the game of lacrosse and what Denver City Lax is doing for the game at a grass roots level in Colorado.
I am ALL IN on this training adventure and effort! Through March, April and into May, I will prepare to fight for Denver City Lax at Founders Fights on May 15th at The Boulder Theater and I ask that you JOIN ME IN THIS JOURNEY.
Please consider a donation of any amount that you are comfortable with and know that your contribution will directly help to grow the game of lacrosse and benefit underserved youth.
