Fertility Matters Canada (FMC) needs your help to bring comfort, encouragement, and support to Canadians struggling with fertility issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the online resources and live information sessions FMC has offered over the past few months, FMC is reaching out to those struggling to conceive by creating and gifting “Comfort Boxes” to help them feel supported during their treatments. Each box will be filled with products that the patients themselves have told us they rely upon to make their journey easier, such as warm socks, herbal teas and scented candles.
With a donation you can show your support for someone who is undergoing treatments. All donations over $20 will receive a receipt for tax purposes. You can also show your support by nominating someone you know (including yourself) who is preparing to, or currently is, undergoing fertility treatment to build their family.
“In this time of social distancing, we can’t always be there to offer a warm hug or a sympathetic shoulder to someone who’s having a tough time,” says FMC Executive Director Carolynn Dubé. “These Comfort Boxes will show you care and that you’re there for them.”
The more money FMC can raise through donations, the more Comfort Boxes we will be able to provide. We are grateful for any amount you can donate, which will be pooled with other contributions to fund even more boxes.
“We would like to see as many fertility patients as possible benefit from the solace that these Comfort Boxes will bring at a time when they need it most,” says Dubé.
