Dear Family and Friends,
This past summer, Mommy helped run Camp Jacobson's tsedakah program, which benefited an organization which drew her attention immediately. Why? It's called: The Felix Organization. What a match!
Through this program, Camp Jacobson filled duffle bags with necessities and special art projects made by all my friends at camp for children attending "Camp Felix", an overnight camp for youth growing up in the foster care system.
It makes me so proud that an organization doing so much good, shares my name! This year, it is my special wish that you consider donating to this wonderful cause. My goal is to raise $1000, which will send two children to camp for one unforgettable week.
Camp can be such a positive force for children - and The Felix Organization is changing lives through the work they do. Here's a bit more about them:
The Felix Organization's mission is to provide inspiring opportunities and new experiences to enrich the lives of children who are growing in the foster care system.
For four weeks each summer, The Felix Organization sends 150-200 children in the foster care system, ages eight to thirteen, to Camp Felix. Residing in some of New York City’s most impoverished communities, these children are given the chance to leave behind their difficult circumstances and gain independence, make new friends and explore the natural world at their campus in Putnam Valley, New York, approximately one hour north of New York City.
With the biggest thanks and so much love,
Felix
